My name is Jim Thomas. I have been collecting Civil War bullets since I was very young.  I recall that when I was only about 8 years old I took a box of dug bullets in to school once for "Show & Tell" while in the Third Grade.  It certainly didn't hurt that my (much) older brother is Dean Thomas.  He became interested in the American Civil War in the 1960s during the centennial celebration.  So I literally grew up following "Big Brother" around the battlefields. Dean can easily be called THE expert in regard to Civil War small arms ammunition, so I had a good teacher over the years.

Dean started and operated Thomas Publications from 1981 to 2016. I worked there from 1993 to 2016. We are well known for our accurate reference books...especially our long list of works relating to Civil War bullets, cartridges, and all the facilities that manufactured them.

Domestic Shipping: Orders will be shipped via USPS. Minimum shipping charge is $4.00. Additional rates and insurance may be charged depending on quantity and value of items. Any additional charges will be discussed prior to shipment...there will be no surprise charges. Depending on the item, I may ship in a padded envelope or box, and the item(s) will be placed in a coin tube or film container if necessary.
